His exceptional play earned him USHL Rookie of the Year, All-USHL First Team, and USHL All-Rookie Team honors.
Brendan continued his development at the University of Michigan during the 2020–21 NCAA season before launching his professional career.
On April 12, 2022, he joined the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL) on an amateur tryout and quickly secured a three-year entry-level contract with the Vegas Golden Knights just weeks later, on April 30, 2022.

Brendan Brisson Parents: Meet the Power Couple Behind The Athlete
Brendan Brisson was practically born with skates on his feet. Hockey was never just a game growing up in a home where hockey pucks were as ordinary as dinner plates. It was the family business.
At the heart of this hockey dynasty stands Pat Brisson, Brendan’s father. He is a prominent NHLPA agent and co-heads the Creative Artists Agency’s (CAA) Hockey Division alongside his partner, J.P. Barry.
The Salaberry-de-Valleyfield native didn’t just raise a hockey player. Through his influential work with Southern California’s Iceoplex rinks and youth development programs, he helped cultivate an entire generation of talent.
In the early 1990s, he further bolstered youth hockey by founding Skate with the Pros and California Dreamin, elite hockey schools featuring NHL stars and coaches as instructors.
Recognized for his influence, The Hockey News has named him among the 100 Most Influential People in the NHL. Additionally, Forbes ranked him the 9th Most Powerful Sports Agent in 2017, solidifying his status as a top dealmaker in professional sports.
On the other hand, Brendan’s mother, Kim Brisson, works as a medical assistant to renowned dermatologist Dr. Richard Strick at UCLA. A 1988 graduate of Agoura High School, she also has a passion for hockey, having played for the Black Hawks in the North Valley division.
Kim and Pat Brisson’s love story began in the 1990s on the roller hockey courts of Venice Beach. The couple later tied the knot at the scenic Ocean Trails Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes and are proud parents to two children, Jordan and Brendan.
A supportive hockey family frequently shares moments of their children’s journeys on social media.
Nontheless, Kim turned a draft-night meeting room into a festive celebration, complete with Brendan’s entire Michigan hockey team there to support him.
