Anyone who’s familiar with Dr. Jan Pol knows that he’s an animal lover. As a veterinarian, he has plenty of opportunities to spend time with animals and help them. This is his passion. But Dr. Pol also has pets of his own.
One of Dr. Pol’s many personal pets is a three-legged black cat named Tater. Per the Dr. Pol website, ” [Tater’s] favorite activities include eating croonchies, patrolling the parking lot, and chasing mices!”
He recently posted a photo of himself and his kitty. In the photo, Dr. Pol is cradling the cat and looking at him in the eyes. Dr. Pol writes, “You’re just too good to be true… 🎶😻 #TaterTuesday.”
The veterinarian often uses the hashtag Tater Tuesday to share photos of the cat on Tuesdays. And naturally, fans are loving all of the photos of the kitty.
Fans of Dr. Pol are loving Tater
Whenever fans get to see photos of Tater, they leave positive comments. It seems like some of them are very obsessed with the cat. When Dr. Pol shared the new photo of himself with the cat, fans wrote the following:

- “Mutual love.”
- “The famous Tater.”
- “What a wonderful love we take in this picture!!!Love you all!❤️❤️❤️”
- “Aww I love that kitty! He sure is special!”
- “I just love tater! You have the best Heart.”
The pair also received lots of heart emojis and “aww” comments.
Some of Dr. Pol’s followers finished the song lyrics that he included in the caption, writing, “Can’t take my eyes off you.” The lyrics are from Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”
Tater has an Instagram account
On Instagram, you can follow Tater. Dr. Pol often shares photos of the cat on the account. In the description of the Instagram profile for the cat, it reads, “My name tater I’m a cat I live with @thedrpol and I’m on tv. I’m handsome and stink like a horse sometimes cuz I roll around in a barn and eat mouse.”

Not only do the veterinarian and his family like the cat, but fans of the vet do too. Tater’s obviously spoiled and gets lots of love from Dr. Pol’s fans. As you can see in this picture, a fan sent Tater a big package of toys to play with.

On Twitter, Tater has 11,700 followers. On Instagram, he has 50,100 followers. So, it looks like there are many fans who like to keep up with the cat.
