Dylan Dreyer, an American television meteorologist working for NBC News, announced her separation from her husband, Brian Fichera, a few months earlier in July 2025.
They stated that they would continue to co-parent their three children, Calvin, Oliver, and Rusty, with mutual respect and friendship.
Dreyer is recognized for her work on NBC’s Today show and her engaging reporting style. Her career began at WICU-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania, before she moved on to WJAR in Providence, Rhode Island, and WHDH in Boston, Massachusetts.
She joined NBC in 2012 as a weekend Today show meteorologist and quickly became a fan favorite. Her dedication to her job was evident in February 2013 when she suffered a mild concussion in a car crash while traveling to cover a blizzard for Today.
Despite the setback, she returned to work with her signature enthusiasm.
Beyond weather forecasting, Dreyer has expanded her role at NBC. She hosts Earth Odyssey with Dylan Dreyer, an educational nature program airing as part of NBC’s The More You Know block.
Moreover, she stepped into a new role as host of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, filling in for Al Roker while he recovered from health issues in 2022.
Dylan Dreyer and Brian Fichera Separate After 12 Years of Marriage
Dylan Dreyer announced her separation from husband Brian Fichera after 12 years of marriage.
On July 18, she shared the news on Instagram, explaining that while they have been apart for some time, the split is amicable, and they remain dedicated to co-parenting their three sons—Calvin, Oliver, and Rusty.
For many years, I have shared my family with you all — the highs and lows, the ups and downs, and all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between. I am incredibly grateful for the support and love you’ve given me through it all. For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate.
The couple first met while working at Boston’s WHDH, an NBC affiliate. Dreyer was a meteorologist, and Fichera served as an in-studio technician.
They married in 2012 and built a life together, bonding over their shared love of golf. Fichera even bought Dreyer her first set of clubs when they were dating.
Despite their separation, they continue to prioritize family. The pair recently spent the Fourth of July together with their children at the Macy’s fireworks special, which Dreyer hosts for NBC.
Similarly, Fichera also joined her at the American Century Golf Championship in Lake Tahoe, where he caddied for her.
Fichera and Dreyer have emphasized their commitment to maintaining a strong partnership as parents. While their romantic relationship has ended, their shared dedication to their children remains unwavering.
We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends. Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another. Thank you as always for your support.
