Kelly Clarkson has postponed the remaining August dates of her Studio Sessions residency at Las Vegas’ Colosseum at Caesars Palace. She cited her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock’s undisclosed illness as the reason.
The Grammy-winning singer, who shares two children with Blackstock, River Rose and Remington “Remy” Alexander, announced the decision on Instagram on August 6.
Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas. While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill, and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows, and I so appreciate your grace, kindness, and understanding.
Though Clarkson did not specify when the shows would be rescheduled, Ticketmaster has already listed new dates for 2026. The American Idol alum, who began her residency in July, expressed her regret to fans.
This isn’t the first time Clarkson has had to adjust her Vegas performances. Last month, she canceled two shows due to a vocal strain, explaining that rehearsals had taken a toll on her voice.
She later apologized to fans upon her return, acknowledging their support and excitement for the residency.

Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s relationship began in February 2012 when the singer started dating the talent manager. Their romance led to a picturesque wedding on October 20, 2013, at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee.
Blackstock was the son of her former manager, Narvel Blackstock, and the former stepson of country icon Reba McEntire.
