Rhasha Newkirk Divorce

Rhasha was married once, but it wasn’t the kind of marriage most people imagine. Her husband was from South Korea, and the whole thing was more about a Green Card than love.

They never had a close or physical relationship. She stayed celibate the whole time.

Since there was no real bond between them, leaving wasn’t that hard. When it stopped feeling right, she walked away.

Rhasha Newkirk divorced her husband, and now she sees that time as something that taught her what not to accept.

On Virgins, she said she’s not okay with doing all the work in a relationship. She wants someone who tries and someone who shows they care.

When she was growing up, she saw her dad buy flowers for her mom and take her out to lunch. That stuck with her. She doesn’t want anything fancy but just effort. Just someone who means it.

Family and Personal Life

Rhasha grew up in a military family and spent her early years in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Her mother has always been a steady presence in her life. She even shares family moments online under the name @mommother.

When Rhasha got married, her parents disagreed with the choice, but they didn’t fight it. They let her make her own decision.

She’s especially close to her sister, Carla, and shares a tight bond. Carla has a daughter named Jayla, and Rhasha adores her.

You’ll see it if you look at her Instagram—lots of pictures with Jayla, birthday parties, family dinners, just regular moments. She doesn’t post to impress people. It’s clear she’s proud of her family and loves being part of it.

Rhasha’s Education and Career

Rhasha went to Duncan U. Fletcher High School. After graduating, she started community college and signed up for psychology and pre-law classes.

But a little while in, she felt like it wasn’t the right time to keep going. She put her education on hold and got a job at Naval Station Mayport. She worked there for over 17 years.

Her job was to help run the base’s rec center. She ensured everything was safe and followed the rules, and she helped keep things running smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

Later, she wanted something that felt steadier. In 2018, she switched paths and entered the healthcare field. She enrolled at Concorde Career College.

Rhasha stuck with it, showed up every day, and earned a spot on the Dean’s List. She also got awards for perfect attendance. After finishing her externship at Daniel Memorial, they offered her a full-time job.

A few months later, she started working at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. She’s still there now and has held various positions, including Medical Office Administrator, Desk Operations Specialist, and Florida Desk Associate.

Her work includes assisting patients, organizing paperwork, and ensuring that individuals feel supported upon entering the facility.

 YouTube Channel and Clothing Brand

Rhasha began posting on YouTube to discuss her weight loss journey. She didn’t try to make it fancy but just turned on the camera and said what was on her mind.

Sometimes she filmed in her car, and at other times, at home. She talked about having surgery, losing weight, and how it felt going through all of that. People watched because it felt real. She wasn’t trying to be perfect but just being herself.

Later, she started her clothing brand, named Aww Then Tic. She runs it on her own, and the clothes are bold, loud, and proud of it.

She wanted people to wear something that made them feel good, even on days when they didn’t feel good. The brand isn’t about fitting in. It’s about showing up as you are.

That’s how she’s always been, online and off.
