Simone Biles Breaks Down in Tears Over Emotional House Sale After Moving to Indianapolis

Simone Biles’ house sale turned out to be far more emotional than she expected. On Wednesday, October 21, the 29-year-old gymnast broke down in tears while filming a farewell tour of the Houston-area home where she lived for six years — and she shared the raw, unfiltered moment with her followers on TikTok.

“Why am I boohoo crying?” Biles asked through tears as she walked through the nearly empty rooms, backyard, and pool. She admitted she had not expected listing the home to hit her so hard. “But I feel like I grew up in this house,” she said. “It’s made me a real adult, so I’m gonna miss it.”

Before signing off, Biles offered a heartfelt wish for the home’s next owner: “Whoever buys this house, I hope it brings you as much joy as it did for me.” She later wrote in the TikTok caption that the property “sold in 4 days” — a lightning-fast deal for a $1.2 million listing.

Why the Farewell Hit So Hard

It is easy to see why the goodbye felt like the end of an era. Biles and her husband, NFL safety Jonathan Owens, lived in the Spring, Texas home for six years — through her Paris 2024 comeback, three more Olympic gold medals, and their wedding celebrations. The house witnessed the most decorated gymnast in American history at her absolute peak.

In addition, the move comes during a season of change for the couple. Owens signed with the Indianapolis Colts in March, and Biles has spent much of the fall shuttling between cities to support him. As a result, saying goodbye to the place that made her feel like an adult landed with real weight.

Simone Biles House Sale: Price, Timeline, and Property Details

While Biles said the house “sold in 4 days,” property records tell the timeline slightly differently. According to Morningstar, reporting on MarketWatch coverage, the home was listed on September 26 for about $1.2 million and entered the pending stage just six days later, as first reported by Mansion Global.

Meanwhile, EntertainmentNow reports that Houston Association of Realtors data placed the final sale price between $1.08 million and $1.24 million, with the deal closing on October 15. Here is how the Simone Biles house sale unfolded:

  • September 26 — The 3,998-square-foot Spring, Texas home hits the market at roughly $1.2 million.
  • Early October — The listing goes under contract after less than a week on the market.
  • October 15 — The sale officially closes, with reported data placing the price between $1.08M and $1.24M.
  • October 21 — Biles posts her tearful TikTok farewell tour.
  • October 22 — In a Parade interview, Biles confirms she has just moved to Indianapolis.

The four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home sits on more than an acre in a gated section of Benders Landing, with no back neighbors. The listing described it as “pure perfection,” highlighting a media room, a study, and a custom wine wall — the kind of private-resort setting that made a quick sale almost inevitable in the Houston luxury market.

Not the Dream Mansion: Which House Did Biles Actually Sell?

Fans were quick to ask why Biles would sell the custom mansion she and Owens spent years building. The answer: she did not. This was a separate property — the temporary home the couple bought while their lakefront dream house was under construction.

That custom mansion, which Biles began designing in 2020, was finally completed on November 11, 2025, after years of planning and construction. The couple remains based there in Texas, even as Biles relocates part-time to Indianapolis for Owens’ NFL season.

A Fresh Start in Indianapolis

The timing of the sale is no coincidence. In a Parade interview published Thursday, October 22, Biles revealed she recently moved to Indianapolis, where Owens plays safety for the Colts. He signed with Indianapolis as an unrestricted free agent in March after two seasons with the Chicago Bears.

“I feel like we’ve been preparing for it for a while, just like slowly moving things over,” Biles said. The final part of the move happened this week, when she and the couple’s dogs relocated. She admitted she is still “trying to get the hang of things” but looks forward to the city’s slower pace compared with Chicago and Houston. “I think relaxation is in my future,” she added.

It has been a turbulent stretch for the couple off the field, too. In September, three masked men broke into their Chicago home and stole Biles’ Porsche — though the vehicle was later recovered, EssentiallySports reported. So the move to Indianapolis marks a genuine reset for the pair.

What Is Next for Simone Biles? The LA 2028 Question

One big question still hangs over Biles’ future: will she compete at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles? When Parade asked, she laughed: “Wouldn’t you like breaking news?” She confirmed she will be in Los Angeles “in some capacity” — but she stopped short of saying whether fans will see her on the competition floor.

“I’m not sure if I’ll be on the floor [or] in the stands, but I will be there in some capacity,” she said. Earlier this year, she described her chances of competing as “50-50.” Biles confirmed in November 2025 that she was taking a break from gymnastics, and for now she is balancing rest and fun while keeping her Olympic options open.

Her résumé hardly needs another chapter: four golds and a bronze from Rio 2016, a silver and bronze from Tokyo, and three more golds plus a silver from Paris 2024 — eleven Olympic medals in total, including seven golds.

Simone Biles’ Property Moves at a Glance

For context, here is where things stand across the couple’s homes:

  • Sold (October 2026) — Spring, Texas “temporary” home: 3,998 sq ft, 4BR/3.5BA, listed at ~$1.2M, sold for an estimated $1.08–1.24M.
  • Kept — Custom lakefront Texas mansion, completed November 2025 after a design process that began in 2020.
  • New base — Indianapolis, where Biles just relocated with the couple’s dogs for Owens’ first Colts season.

For now, Biles is closing one chapter and opening another — and doing it in front of millions of fans. Between the tearful goodbye, the Indianapolis move, and the open Olympic question, the next few months promise to be anything but quiet.
