The policemen arrested Joe for hitting and attempting to burn his girlfriend’s arm with a lit cigarette during an argument outside a Lake Buena Vista, Fla., hotel. He was taken into custody in Orange County, Calif. His girlfriend refused to press charges, and he was released on a $1,500 bond.

Their argument occurred when Joe received a phone call but didn’t reveal who called. According to the witness, his girlfriend demanded to know who called and tried to grab his phone. Joe attempted to burn her arm while she was trying to grab her phone. In addition, policemen added, Joe had a strong odor of burned cigarettes, and he smelled booze on Joe’s breath.
