Adrian Newey, a British engineer, automotive designer, and motorsport executive, has been married thrice and has four children: Charlotte, Hannah, Imogen, and Harrison. In August 2017, he married Amanda “Mandy” Smerczak, the daughter of South African actor Ron Smerczak.
Starting in 2025, he will be Aston Martin’s technical director and co-owner of Formula One. He previously served as the CTO of Red Bull Racing, the technical director of Leyton House and McLaren, and the chief designer of March and Williams.
Adrain Martin Newey, son of Richard and Edwina Newey, is regarded as one of the best engineers in Formula One history. His father was a veterinarian, and his mother was an ambulance driver during the Second World War. Between 1991 and 2024, he won 12 World Constructors’ Championship titles and 223 Grands Prix.
After graduating from the University of Southampton with a degree in aeronautical engineering in 1980, he began working in motorsports under Harvey Postlethwaite for the Fittipaldi Formula One team. He was a race engineer for Johnny Cecotto in Europe Formula 2 and began designing racing cars.

His first wife, Amanda, was a nurse. They married in 1983 and divorced in 1989. Their two daughters, Charlotte and Hannah, lived modestly and avoided the limelight.
Afterward, he married his second wife, Marigold, in 1992, but their marriage ended in 2010. From this marriage, he has a daughter, Imogen, and a son, Harrison.
Imogen, who pursued a career in interior design, is an artist and travel enthusiast based in London. She is active on social media and shares a glimpse of her life, including her engagement with Blake Charles.
On the other hand, Harrison Newey followed in his father’s footsteps and pursued a career in car racing. Adrian’s lifelong obsession with cars and racing has been passed down to Harrison; an apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Adrian and Marigold’s youngest child was born in Oxford, England, on July 25, 1998. He began his career as a kart racer in Easykart UK in 2009 and advanced to Formula Kart Stars, CIK-FIA International Super Cup, and Formula 4.
He excelled in one after another race, winning the 16-race MRF Challenge Formula 2000. Similarly, he won the 24 hours of Daytona on his first attempt.
