Oscar Awards 2021 – Did Chadwick Boseman win an Oscar?
The answer to this question is a big NO.
As he won different awards in his lifetime, his fans and most of the Oscar viewers expected him to win an Oscar on a Sunday night. However, the expectations of the fans broke down as he did not get any Oscar.
Although Chadwick Boseman had been awarded many famous and precious awards, Chadwick lost against Anthony Hopkins for the Oscar as Anthony received the award for his role in “The Father.” The fans of Chadwich expressed a deep aghast for the dead “Black Panther” star.
Anthony Hopkins did not attend the Oscar ceremony and was not able to give a speech. But, he is now the oldest winner in the acting category. He said, “At 83 years of age, I did not expect to get this award. I really didn’t, I am very grateful to the Academy. Thank you. I want to pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman, who was taken from us far too early. And again, thank you all very much. I really did not expect this, so I feel very privileged and honored, thank you.”
Chadwick’s family and his fans who expected him to get the award have come to defend Anthony, who took the award away. Chadwick’s brother says that his family has no harsh feelings towards Anthony Hopkins.
While he spoke to TMZ, Derrick Boseman mentioned that his brother would have been the first to wish Hopinks good luck if he had been alive. Derrick also mentioned that Chadwick would have taken Oscar as an achievement and would never take it as an obsession.
