Christina Phillips Now

Christina Phillips appeared in Season 2 of My 600-lb Life and proved to be one of the most inspirational cast members. She weighed 708 pounds at just 22 with severe mobility and emotional issues.

Her weight loss journey didn’t just change her body – it brought some tough emotional stuff too. Dr. Nowzaradan helped her out, and with serious commitment, she pulled off one of the most significant transformations the show has ever seen. So where’s she at now?

Where Is Christina Phillips Now?

Christina’s doing great in 2025 and stays connected with her 53.2k Instagram followers. Her bio states that she’s a mom to Ethan, Ezra, Arya, and Eliana, and her posts are filled with pictures of her kids.

Her current weight is 185 pounds, indicating that she has lost over 500 pounds since her first appearance on TV. She’s switched up her look too – shorter hair and a septum piercing.

Her posts primarily focus on being a mom, loving your body, and embracing self-acceptance.

Mental health hasn’t always been easy for her throughout the entire experience, though she talks about it freely. She’s navigated through some tough times and continues to build the life she wants.

Christina’s My 600-lb Life Journey

Christina weighed 708 pounds at the start of her journey and was almost wholly dependent on others for help. Her husband Zach had to take care of most of her daily needs.

Dr. Now gave her a strict diet plan and support to help her qualify for gastric bypass surgery. She began losing weight steadily after getting the surgery.

During her time on the show, she lost about 500 pounds. She reached around 185 pounds and underwent more surgery to remove extra skin from her arms and legs. Her body changed a lot, but the emotional part proved to be just as hard to handle.

Christina had a problem with eating and was concerned about gaining weight. She would not eat for days out of fear of regaining what she had lost.

She could notice the signs of her body transformation, but still felt the same old self in her mind. Therapy became essential for helping her deal with those fears that stayed with her.

The mental work was needed to match the physical changes she had made.

My 600-lb Life: Christina’s Family Life

Christina’s personal life underwent significant changes alongside her weight loss. She got divorced from her husband Zach because the marriage was toxic and controlling.

Zach did not want her to lose weight or be independent. Christina later said that ending the marriage helped her regain control of her life.

She started dating her old friend Shane after the divorce. She brought him on her “Where Are They Now” special and said he was supportive, making her feel good about herself. But nobody knows if Shane is still with her now or if he is the father of her kids.

Christina has four children. Her first son, Ethan, was born in February 2021. Then Ezra came in September 2022. She gave birth to her daughter, Arya, in September 2023.

When she announced news of her third pregnancy in 2023, she posted a photo with only half of a man’s beard showing, but never specified the father. Her Instagram bio states that she is a mom to Eliana, but no further information is provided.

Arya had severe health issues when she was born. She was diagnosed with Type A Long Gap Esophageal Atresia and stayed in the NICU for over six months.

Christina also had pregnancy complications, and Arya had two heart defects. Both Christina and Arya got through these medical problems.

Christina lost her father, Charles Hildreth, in October 2022. Her sister, Jessica Marie Hildreth, and mother, Tammie Hildreth, still help support her and stay involved in her life.

Life After the Show

Christina’s journey did not end with her first episode. She returned for a Where Are They Now special in 2016, where she discussed her progress and mental health.

She also appeared on Great Day Houston in 2015 with Dr. Now to talk about her transformation. That same year, she met Dr. Oz and personal trainer Chris Powell and posted a photo of the meeting on Instagram.

Weight loss helped her restore her confidence over time. She now enjoys activities she couldn’t do before, such as driving herself and buying clothes she wants.

Her appearance changed, too. She cut her long hair and got her septum pierced in 2023, after wanting to do so for years.

Her transformation was phenomenal, and it became one of the show’s biggest success stories.

She changed from being nearly unable to move and feeling broken to raising four children and living independently. Many viewers who watched from the beginning still find her story inspiring today.
