Tony Hinchcliffe, an American comedian renowned for hosting the live comedy podcast Kill Tony, humorously revealed his sexuality. He isn’t gay, even though most of the fans assumed him so.

He sparked controversy regarding his sexuality after humorously mentioning himself as gay in the comedy show.

In 2007, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a comedy career and performed stand-up at open mics at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood.

Later, he opened on tour for comedians like Jeff Ross and Joe Rogan. He refers to Jeff Ross, aka Roastmaster General,  as his mentor, who helped him get his first writing job.

At The Comedy Store, he was known for insulting other comics and audience members during his shows. Likewise, he discussed uncomfortable and sensitive topics during his stand-up sets. He received criticism for his racist slurs on social media.

Since 2013, he has hosted and produced a podcast, Kill Tony, a weekly live show recorded at The Comedy Store. His first one-hour stand-up special, One Shot, which was shot in one camera take with no edits, premiered on Netflix in 2016.

Born on June 8, 1984, Tony Hinchcliffe grew up with his single mother in the north side of Youngstown, Ohio. His birth was kept secret as his father married a woman other than his mother. He didn’t know about his father’s other family until he grew older.

He is of Italian descent and was in a wrestling team while attending Ursuline High School.

American comedian Tony Hinchcliffe was rumored to be gay, but he revealed his sexuality and confirmed he was straight. He received mixed reactions from the netizens regarding his sexuality.

They believe it’s just a running joke not to let the audience know he’s gay; everybody on the show knows who he really is but would instead let it be shrouded in mystery.

Most of his audiences assumed he was gay due to his sassy demeanor and quick wit, which led some of the fans to speculate on his romantic interests.

Some of his fans were disappointed upon learning that he was straight, and it struck a nerve in their gay boy’s heart. They wanted him to be gay and assumed he liked to be intimate with all the male hosts he had on.

Similarly, Tony has joked about being gay in many instances to create a commotion in the audience. Fans called him the gayest straight man alive and also the straightest gay man alive.

He also talks about his girlfriend in interviews when he isn’t doing stand-up.

Tony appeared on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast in 2024 to discuss his married lifestyle. He opened up about his marriage to Charlotte Jane, a beautiful, cool Australian girl. She is an Australian entrepreneur and fashion enthusiast. 

They met at The Comedy Store’s front bar, and he found her funny. They married in a private ceremony in 2017.

Although their marriage was short-lived, they had a great time. They remained friends even after their separation in 2024. They had fun and created a great memory.

Moreover, she was the heiress of an Australian racer, Bob Jane, and attended his show with her new boyfriend and their dog.

My actual marriage was short-lived but very much fun with a beautiful, very cool Australian girl that I met just like I would meet anybody at the comedy store back in the day at the front bar. She was super funny and super cool. We are still friends to this day…It is my ex-wife…we had a good run. Everyone who knows us knows that it was the coolest from beginning to end…I was just in Santiago two weeks ago, and she and her new boyfriend and our old dog all came to my show. And we had a blast; we are all super cool, and she is like the funniest, coolest chick ever.

Nonetheless, he was rumored to be dating UFC fighter Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
