Dr. Jan Pol, star of National Geographic’s The Incredible Dr. Pol, is sharing about a special day for his family. Friday, February 6 was his wife Diane Pol’s birthday. See what he has to say about her and learn more about her too.
Dr. Pol shares birthday post for wife
On social media, Dr. Pol shared a few photos of his wife. He writes, “She’s simply the best! Please join us in wishing a very happy birthday to Diane! 🥳🎂” The post was shared on Saturday, just one day after her birthday.
The first photo is of Diane holding their grandchild, Abigail. It looks like Abigail is unwrapping a present in the photo, so it may be a photo from Christmas.
Two of the photos are of Jan and Diane together. In one, they’re outside in nature. The other one is of them all dressed up for a special occasion. The last photo is a more candid shot of Diane hard at work. She’s chatting on the phone while at the desk.
Diane was born on February 6, 1944, so she’s now 77 years old.
Fans of The Incredible Dr. Pol are commenting on the post to wish her a happy birthday. They hope she continues to stay healthy and happy for years to come. They hope that she had a great day and that Jan spoiled her.

Who is Diane Pol?
Fans of The Incredible Dr. Pol know Diane as Jan’s wife. Prior to her appearance on the show, she was both born and raised in Michigan.
Later in life, she and Jan opened the veterinary clinic, Pol Veterinary Service, together. Her role at the practice is the office manager. That explains why she was busy chatting on the phone in one of the photos that Jan shared of her.
In 1967, Diane and Jan got married. Though they never had biological children, they did adopt three kids. Their kids are Diana Jr., Kathy, and Charles.
She was previously a teacher after getting a degree as a reading specialist.
Dr. Pol shares updates about his family
While many of Dr. Pol’s Instagram posts are about the animals he helps, he also shares a fair number of pictures of his family. On Thanksgiving, he shared family photos and thanked his followers for their support. The couple seems to enjoy being grandparents, so he often shares pictures featuring his granddaughter. She even dressed up as a cow one day when she visited the veterinary clinic.
He also revealed that his show premiered on National Geographic 9 years ago. So, he’s had lots of time to capture viewers’ attention. He seems grateful for all of the opportunities he’s had.
