Chloe Kitts, an American college basketball player for the South Carolina Gamecocks, credits her parents, Jason and Krystle Kitts, for supporting her basketball journey.
She began playing basketball for The Master’s Academy in Oviedo and helped her team reach the Class 3A state title game. Later, she transferred to DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida, for her sophomore season, leading her team to its first GEICO Nationals appearance.
After the season, Kitts planned to transfer to Orlando, Florida’s Faith Christian Academy, skip her senior year, and start college early. She was an ESPN five-star recruit committed to South Carolina over offers from Louisville, Duke, NC State, and Arizona.
Chloe debuted for South Carolina on December 18, 2022, and scored 10 points and seven rebounds in a win against Charleston Southern. During her sophomore season, she entered a starting role and averaged 9.0 points on 53% field goal percentage, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.
She won gold medals with the United States at the 2022 FIBA Under-18 Women’s Americas Championship in Argentina and the 2023 FIBA Under-19 Women’s Basketball World Cup in Spain.
Chloe Kitts’s Parents Are Proud Of Her Athletic Achievements
Chloe Kitts, the daughter of Jason Kitts and Krystle Kitts, was born on August 5, 2004, in Puyallup, Washington State. However, she moved to Oviedo, Florida, with her family in the third grade.
Her parents have played a crucial role in her life and supported her decision to enroll in South Carolina. Since the age of 5, she has been a sportsperson. Her father handed her a basketball and showed her the game at such an early age.
When I was younger, my dad handed me a basketball, and from what I could remember, it’s all I’ve ever known since.
Chloe’s parents were the happiest during her recruitment process. Her father stated, “We are just enjoying the process and building strong relationships with each school, and we want the best fit for her.”
Jason founded a nonprofit wellness and community organization, CHB Global Corp, in Oveido in 2016. He also participates in comparable local initiatives in Washington.
The rising star hasn’t opened up much about her mother, Krystle, but undoubtedly, she adds a blend of cultures and perspectives to their family dynamic.
Her parents are initially from America and belong to a white ethnic background, deeply rooted in their heritage. She learned the values of independence, freedom of expression, and the pursuit of success from her family.
Chloe grew up in a Christian household with his two sisters, Ellie and Kylee Kitts.
Nonetheless, her parents support and guide her, and they attend games to cheer her up as she continues to pursue her basketball dreams.
The 187 cm tall athlete was rumored to be dating Collin Murray-Boyles, the freshman forward on the South Carolina men’s basketball team.
